Yoga with Nicole and Ecstatic Dance Christchurch are excited to announce the 1st annual Yoga Camp NZ!

Come and immerse yourself in the beautiful Manaia Native Habitat, a haven of stunning native bush situated in Little River. Yoga Camp opens on Friday, March 9th and closes Sunday, March 11th, 2018. Take this time to unplug, unwind and rebalance.

Yoga Camp NZ is a yoga, dance, movement arts and natural health gathering emphasizing community, connection and communion with nature. This new wellness offering for the Canterbury community provides a variety of movement classes and workshops that demystify the healing arts and provide practical lifestyle tools that can be easily integrated into busy lives and schedules.


Yoga Camp promises a nature immersive program with a diverse group of esteemed local teachers, musicians and lifestyle coaches.

BE here with us: Yoga Camp NZ 2018 kicks off Friday, 9th of March at 5:30pm with a Community Potluck Dinner followed by the Opening Ceremony featuring a warm cacao elixir (vegan and delicious) to open the heart and a group yoga journey to activate the body. The evening programs include a women’s circle featuring Ovarian Breathing with Dani Vega Rojas and a Music & Drum Circle led by Jake Kiano Skinner.

Full weekend classes and workshops include body and life affirming all levels yoga classes with Nicole Dench (Yoga Camp NZ event co-producer), Treesa Green (Evolutionary Yoga) and Sylvie McLean (Yoga Nidra) plus, health and natural healing programs with Clarice Hebblethwaite (Nutritionist), Chelita of Manaaki Mama (Rongoā Māori) and Valmai Becker (Naturopath).

Additional immersion include, hula hoop yoga classes (HoopYogini), bellydance, pre-conception health, manifesting and yoga philosophy workshops.

Saturday night everyone gathers for a rocking Ecstatic Dance journey with DJ Trillion followed by a community song circle and sivasana (lie down!) sound healing journey.

After a morning of yoga and workshops, the weekend concludes Sunday at 12:30pm with a Closing Circle and farewell.

Yoga Camp is a Family Friendly event, all family members welcome, however strictly NO PETS please. While children are most welcome, programming is predominantly adult. Special immersions for kids will run on Saturday including face painting, kids yoga and nature crown making plus time to enjoy the waterslide, swimming hole and trampoline. Please supervision your children throughout your stay. Under 3’s free!

Yoga Camp is an immersive outdoor festival. Bring all that you need including tent, food, water, and all necessities to camp with us for two nights, this event will run rain or shine so please pack accordingly.

Please book your camping pass as your buy your festival ticket, one camping pass per person (including children). Be sure to select the correct camping pass applicable to number of nights your will be staying. Small tents only please.

Leave no trace, be a tidy kiwi and take all rubbish home with you. Showers and toilets will be provided. Campervans, caravans welcome, small tents only please.

Our location is off the grid! Take this opportunity to unplug and disconnect as there will not be WiFi access or electricity. Due to the above this event is cash only.

The Manaia Native Habitat is a unique haven for the biodiversity of Banks Peninsula and is home to native birds and centuries old trees. Walks through the 18 acres range from a ten minute ramble to an hour long circumnavigation, which includes boardwalks and stunning views.

Manaia Native Habitat is located in the Little River Campground, only 54 minutes drive from central Christchurch. Please be sure to carpool as there is limited parking available.

As this is a family friendly event we have a strict no alcohol or drugs policy, if you are found to be intoxicated we reserve the right to ask you to leave.

Yoga with Nicole: Nicole holds nature immersed yoga classes across different beautiful spaces throughout Christchurch, emphasing the connection between the body and breath, and holding space for yogis to ground down into nature and connect within. Nicole was trained in Rishikesh, the birthplace of yoga in India- here she was explored traditional yogic practices which she now shares in a down to earth, warm and passionate manner. She advocates for body equality, stating that everyBODY is a yoga body- Nicole takes special care to craft classes that enable new practitioners to practice yoga and enjoy new ways of living. Nicole is a wayfarer for the sacred feminine, holding regular women’s circles , retreats and workshops to empower women as they rise up into their potential and step into the life of their dreams.

Ecstatic Dance Christchurch: Jody Lloyd aka DJ Trillion is the founder of Ecstatic Dance Christchurch, a two hour drug and alcohol free dance started in 2016 that features world beats, electronic and soul music. The event provides the Canterbury community an opportunity to dance, connect, sweat and release in a safe and non-judgemental environment. Trillion and his wife, Jocelyn, have enjoyed the past four years living, learning and traveling in Bali, Indonesia and the US where they have shared their sound healing, DJ, yoga, dance therapy and life coaching offerings at Wanderlust festivals, the BaliSpirit Festival, MurFest and other internationally renowned health and wellness events. They are excited to bring this global magic to the Christchurch community. You may recognize Trillion from his Dark Tower days as the founding member of one of New Zealand’s first rap groups. At the 2018 Voices of Sacred Earth Festival we are coming together to ‘Awaken Your Inner Song’.

The Voices of Sacred Earth Festival is an Eco-Festival, gathering hundreds of people together for a weekend of seminars, transformational workshops and performances focusing on indigenous cultures, Earth wisdom, sacred ceremony, well-being and social change.

Indigenous cultures throughout the world have maintained a reciprocal relationship with the Earth, have protected the sacred sites and are wisdom keepers for the modern world. This wisdom and knowledge is being shared and remembered within many people. The foundations of a new consciousness is now birthed to a new awareness from these ancestral wisdom to evolve new solutions, to embody a more sustainable and harmonious world for the entire community, our Global Family.

This is New Zealand’s unique chance to experience indigenous leaders, visionaries and inspirational speakers, healers, practitioners, artists and musicians, all co-creating and harmonising in one place at one time!

Voices of Sacred Earth Festival provides the space for Indigenous healing from many cultures and perspectives. Sharing knowledge and the power of all the elements, how we are all connected to water, fire, earth and air. We will gather together and celebrate through the ceremonies being offered during this weekend festival.

The Festival starts on Friday at 4.30 pm. Come and be part of our global family and celebrate with us at the opening ceremony, this will be followed by live music, film screening, and other activities for all the family to enjoy. Saturday and Sunday will continue with lots of workshops, music, performances, interactive activities to engage everyone at every level, then finishing on Sunday around 6.00 pm with the closing ceremony.

This Eco-Festival provides the opportunity to promote awareness of new sustainable ways to enhance our natural homes, neighbourhoods, environments and our beautiful Earth, through beautifying recycling, respect and mindfulness, and connective caring through communities. A collective collaboration for a harmonious and unified Planet, starting in our own backyard. Be informed, entertained, reflective, creative, and inspired!

A safe, fun and adventurous place for children and families to connect in new ways to experience deeper expression through the many creative activities being shared. Healing music, drumming, tribal dances, soul sounds, are also central to the Festival.
