RACHAEL HOLDERNESS Rachael has a background in PR, marketing and events in London. As someone who was completely enthralled in the grips of the hamster wheel, you would not have seen her leave her desk before 8pm. The move to New Zealand was the start of the mindfulness journey for her, ‘the slower pace of life here has been refreshing’. Also a registered yoga teacher, Rachael has found tools to help her own practice of mindfulness. During the Ovio facilitator training Rachael described herself as being ‘the least mindful person I know!’, and as a wise woman once said we teach what we need to learn the most. The world we live in is becoming busier every day, and Rachael believes that what we need the most from any of it is stillness. ‘I feel lucky to have found Ovio, the mindfulness concepts are easy to remember daily and I can’t wait to teach these to as many people as possible’.

EMILY MASON Emily is a qualified mindfulness consultant and registered yoga teacher. She is part way through a holistic health coaching qualification, and in her spare time, works as a corporate lawyer. Emily initially found mindfulness as coping mechanism for workplace stress and career and life direction indecision. But as her practice deepened over time, her life as a whole has powerfully transformed. This positive shift has lead Emily’s career path to wind away from the law and into the holistic wellbeing space. “I’ve always been very good at doing! Being … not so much. Discovering mindfulness has been life changing for me and I am passionate about sharing this incredible tool with others.” Emily lives in Petone with her husband and their Cavoodle Hugo.
