I started The Yoga Connection at the end of 2014 and spent many nights bent over my laptop trying to make sense of behind the scenes techy stuff as well as working out how to introduce myself and what I was hoping to achieve with TYC without actually having to get dressed and go and meet people. Obviously I was terribly professional from the get-go.
Since 2016, the website has gone nationwide and I’m all over it in a full-time capacity along with a touch of hysteria and eye bags the size of SO TIRED. Lucky I love it!
I’m fortunate to meet some of the best teachers and educators in the yoga and wellbeing community and it’s a pleasure to offer up a platform to showcase who they are and what they’re about.
My first yoga class was almost ten years ago and got under my skin like nothing else. My practice is my passion and sometimes I get all inspired in the middle of the night and post about my experiences in the hope it resonates with those of you still finding your place, both on and off the mat.
I’m not a yoga teacher but I’m a committed student. I believe yoga isn’t an exclusive club, unattainable due to our body type, or because we don’t understand the threads of Sanskrit or the anatomy references. I’m all about turning up, breathing, listening and learning.
It’s changed my life in many ways, not least through the beautiful people I’ve met and I am constantly grateful to have it in my life.
If you’re new to TYC, welcome. If you’ve been here since the beginning, thank you.
I’d love it if you follow along on Facebook and Instagram, and sign up for regular updates with TYC newsletter which goes out (with quite a lot of fanfare JUST before deadline) each month.
