Me-time retreat for mums

October 28 @ 3:00 pm - October 30 @ 11:00 am

This weekend retreat on Waiheke Island is designed exclusively for the mums.

For the mums craving more time to themselves, but can’t seem to make it happen. The mums feeling overwhelmed by the demands of life, struggling to find balance – yes, there is a lot asked of us and it’s ok to feel this way.

Whether you are a new mum or you’ve been at it for a while, this retreat will give you the time to explore, move, relax and just be. It is your time to breathe, stay still, read your book, join in workshops and even have a massage. Because when you’re happier and more relaxed, your relationships and children can only benefit. A little self-care goes a very long way to ensuring you’re operating at full capacity.

This retreat is about about a little down-time, quiet contemplation, exploring the notions of self-care as mums and within the limited time we have available daily. And as always, we will share beautiful meals around the table with a laugh and connection with other like-minded people while still leaving you enough time to unwind and relax. All the classes can be adjusted to different levels of experience and remember that this is a weekend just for you so you can follow your own pace and join in as much as you want and need to.

Vassia Simou – organiser | host

Vassia has a background in marketing and events. Having worked for luxury brands in fashion and beauty in Athens, London and Auckland for over 15 years, she has a keen eye for detail and knows what makes a good event – its people. Her journey with yoga started in 2012 and although back then it was only a form of exercise for her, with time she found that the practice has offered her so much more in her wellness journey. And of course as a true Greek, what she loves the most is bringing people together. So just like this Koukoulee was born two years ago.

The location is a secluded, luxurious haven surrounded by lush nature.

Kaitiaki Lodge is a brand new luxury lodge located in Onetangi on Waiheke Island. Situated overlooking acres of unspoilt native bush with the Hauraki Gulf beyond, the setting is simply spectacular.

The property was designed by renowned architect Leon Bieldt and construction was completed in May 2022 meaning that everything is brand new. Every element has been thoughtfully considered for quality, functionality and environmental sustainability.
